Welcome to TangoJoven 2007,
one of the exponentially growing new generation Tango festivals
in North America.
The three days of the exciting festivities will take
place at the Chicago Symphony
Center located in Downtown
Chicago on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park
from July 6th to July 8th, 2007 including the celebration
of Argentine Independence Day (9 de Julio).

The festival’s main objective is to gather Argentine
Tango aficionados across the North America and to promote
cultural awareness about Argentine Tango. The festival
is aimed at involving the entire community. For
this reason, its participants are not only dancer college
graduates, seniors, young professionals, but also tango
musicians and tango music fans, local, regional
Tango organizations, and generally anyone that would
like to celebrate the passion of music and dance.

The festival events
cross a wide variety of interest groups: classical and
contemporary Argentine Tango performances, photography
exhibitions, social dancing, as well as live Tango music.
We fortunate to announce that we are bringing Latin Grammy
nominee (2004, 2005) electronic tango band TANGHETTO from
Buenos Aires, Argentina conjunction with City of Chicago’s
Summerdance 2007 program.
We are looking forward to see you in Chicago for this
unique tango experience in July.
