Mario Consiglieri & Anabella Diaz-Hojman
Mario + Anabella met and began their partnership in the fall of 2003. Since 2004 they continue to develope and explore a very unique and personal style of dancing the tango... very playful, incredibly musical, and in sync as a couple. With strong interests in expression and interpretation, they focus their research on investigating and breaking down their movement and music into several different layers.
They are highly valued and respected as teachers for their clarity, patience, and professionalism. Natural, approachable, and enthusiastic about what they have chosen to devote their lives to, they share a special chemistry together while teaching which creates a very relaxed atmosphere. Mario and Anabella hold every student with high regard, and are always looking for those curious few to pour their extra energy and knowledge into.
As one of the youngest professional couples working major events around the globe, they are also contributors to the young generation of tango dancers. They have contributed countless hours of investigation (sweat) to developing creative movements and ideas; collaborated with colleagues to make important projects become a reality (both in Buenos Aires and the exterior).

Murat & Michelle Erdemsel
Murat was born in Istanbul. Michelle grew up on the
Big Island of Hawaii. Somehow, from literally opposite
ends of the earth they managed to meet half way in
New York City. They met in the milonga and that is

Burak Ozkosem & Maria Alferov
Burak & Maria are recognized for their creative
and expressive style and their bold and sensitive
interpretations of both traditional tango music and
the eclectic,non-traditional tango music. Their unique
style is result of several years of research, analysis,
and improvisational Tango approach based on organic
movements, connection and body dynamics.
Although they specialize in Tango Nuevo method, Burak & Maria
are not adding anything new or modern to Argentine
Tango. Every movement they use is strictly taken from
the Tango vocabulary. They respect the music and respond
in the traditional places in the song: their connection,
syncopa or ryhthm is flawless. What they do is deconstruct
the usual Tango marking (marcado) and reconstruct in
thei r own surprising way. Burak & Maria's nontraditional
use the of Tango vocabulary promopts curiosity, and
inspiration for other dancers. |
