Jackie
Ling Wong Djing Friday Night
As a DJ, Jackie focuses on connection and musicality,
taking dancers on a musical journey, with selections
that invariably becomes everyone's favorite music. Her
love of the music and sense of adventure is what
makes her milongas so distinctive! She has the innate
ability to read the room and choose what's right
for the moment, so that dancers seem to never want
to leave the floor!
Jackie is very responsive to the needs of each
individual community,programming music to reflect
the community's taste. Her selections "speak to
the heart". They range from the most beautiful
traditional tango classics to exciting neavo
and alternative tango which leads tangueros/as to
discover a whole new dimension in their dance. |

Hyla
Dickinson Djing Sunday Night
Hyla has
been dancing tango since 1998, and has been djing
since
2004, as one of the "tres mujeres" trio of women
djs in Seattle
and on her own. She is a popular DJ, playing
around Seattle and
during the Seattle Tango Magic festival both as part
of the trio
and on her own. She also runs a weekly practica.
Hyla loves tango music
of all styles and eras; her hallmarks as
a dj are romance, energy and a sense of humor. Love
of
connection, play, melody, rhythm, and flow infuse
her dance and
her djing. Her motto: keep dancers
hooked and dancing 'til the
end. Goal: see how many dancers blame
her for sore feet and
sweat soaked shirts and a very very fun time.
